Anyone heard of the Berkeley Partnership? Boutique consulting with no travel, better work-life balance I’m told...

Is agency culture relatively the same across the country? Are agencies in smaller markets a little more chill (better work life balance, less chaos, etc.)? I'm getting a little burnt out and I'm not sure if it's a NYC thing or an advertising thing.
Accenture HR: When a prospective employer runs a background check, does HR tell them reason for leaving (quit, fired, etc.) or just dates of employment? Was fired in September and wondering if I am required to tell them (upon asking why there’s a gap) if I was fired or just that I decided to leave.
Went to kids holiday party using Lyft. My son gets car sick easily so I warn the driver right away. Lots of traffic + he breaks pretty hard = my 2yo threw up 2 blocks before we get off. 5 min later ..
Anyone know why Advisory can't see the comp statements yet?...as they were supposed to be available today...
Thoughts on EU ruling on Uber being a taxi firm > US impact? Sounds legit. Don't care much for their corporate culture, but care less for the high prices and poor service of regulated taxi firms
Our company has told us we can’t expense dinners delivered when working late at home for tax reasons. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it accurate?
I have to present to a client via video chat today. Guess I need to actually put on makeup and get dressed ...maybe just the top half.
Section chair sent me a job offer. Before I accept, he lowers it because apparently he lacked the authority to offer me that much and had gotten overruled by someone higher up the chain. What the heck

The only thing that makes transcontinental red-eyes bearable is Delta One...LAX-JFK with Westin pillows 🤠😴
Required Education. Almost all jobs nowadays requires a bachelor’s degree (rarely substitute by experience). If an applicant has all the job requirements, but lacks the education, are they automatically disqualified or filtered out? How flexible is HR with education if it is a requirement?

In a causal conversation on Friday, my wife’s supervisor ( white women in her 50s , lives in Arizona and trump supporter) let know that she does not believe in coronavirus and wearing a mask is an inconvenience for her. Also she is frustrated on not traveling for work. Will folks take this serious when a tragedy happens to their loved ones? Why are people so selfish? Any suggestions? I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Trying to decide between two portfolio ops roles, both in the Bay Area: Small-ish VC firm, ~135k base + 35k bonus Medium PE firm, ~115k base + 115k bonus Which would you choose? I’m leaning towards the PE firm bc it’s more hands-on, faster learning curve, and higher TC, but the VC role seems to have a better WLB and generally sounds cooler (getting exposed to VC vs continuing in the corporate world). What do you think?

With so many new faces as Community Leaders, how do people feel about doing a zoom Happy Hour next Thursday? This will give everyone a chance to get to know each other, ask me or our CEO whatever is on your mind, and generally connect. Thinking like 730 or 8 eastern for our west coasters?
