Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Make sure you talk to the right people and get the support from your local office PPMD. I submitted my transfer request after phone interview with the new office partner and it was approved in 2 weeks.
All depends on your rating, level and business case. I've seen senior managers have to interview with all the partners and directors in the new office and there has to be a need. I've also seen staff do a few phone calls to the right people and get transferred. Keep in mind if going to a lower paid market they may make you take a pay cut or you just won't get a raise the following year(I've seen both) First step is to talk to your counselor and let them know you are interested in transferring offices. They can talk to the otmp and start the process with you.
