Seeking advice on salary negotiations and signing bonus. I’m moving to industry and would appreciate any best practices or tactics that have worked well. Do you ask for their salary band? Do you state a number a little higher than you’d realistically accept? The comp data isn’t as easily accessible since I’m moving to industry vs jumping to another consulting firm. I think what I’ll ask for is at higher end of their band knowing what I know but don’t think it’s unrealistic. Appreciate advice!

1.5 YOE coming up on promotion from associate to consultant. I plan on waiting for the promotion and then possibly exiting to industry. I work on supply chain ERP implementations. Mostly healthcare but have also been in a few other industries. What are the possible roles for exit opportunities that make the most sense? Looking for a less demanding career to settle down and start a family, without sacrificing salary. Any advice is welcomed, thanks!

Is having lean six sigma certifications still relevant in ones career especially pay/salary wise?

I’ve had 4 positions so far in my career, all have been 1.5 year stays except for my first one that was 2 years. Personally haven’t felt like it’s negatively impacted my career, have always moved up salary wise. Now starting my 5th job (moved to industry) and wondering what is the minimum amount of time I would need to stay in order not to be perceived as a flight risk?

I have never been one to negotiate my salary. I have been at my current company for seven months and I feel like now is the time to start discussing pay raises or requests for the upcoming year. I have been told by my old supervisor at this same company that I am severely underpaid for the level of contributions I make for the team and my experience. I have 3 years of experience. I want to request and justify asking for a $3/hr increase. Is that unreasonable or am I lowballing myself.

Curious about opinions on best Life Sciences consulting firms/practices? Particularly ones with best comp and exits (LS VC/PE, Pharma Directors)? Assuming MBB but I’ve seen a few great exits from some non-MBB as well and would like your insights. Thanks!

What do you think will be the effect of all the stock compensation in tech?
People in tech seem to be heavily pay with stock option, if those are real stock and not ghost one, don't you see the risk of a downward spiral in stock price?
Lower price -> more stock issues -> more pressure to sell -> lower price

Does it make sense to accept an offer from MBB? Currently in FAANG 200k base, around 50k RSU and 25k bonus yearly. 25 hours/week. Offer is 260k base, 30% bonus no RSU.

Hi all, new here.

I recently got an offer from tier 2 for entry-level. During the feedback call with the partner, I asked him if the firm pays more if you enter with a master's than if you do it with only an undergrad. The partner told me that they could revisit a bit the base salary if needed (but he also said that they don't have a lot of latitude). However, the base salary is already high ($100K), so I don't know if it will be badly perceived if I negotiate for $105-110K?

How do you deal with consulting exit job offer that you think a low ball offer? I tried to push them but they push back citing that’s the max salary band for the role.

It’s hard to believe that since most of the team members are ex-consultants, hence I can benchmark salary from there.

Context:
Someone with post-MBA consultant experience just joined with the same role lvl offered to me. But, I got ~15-30% less from her/his salary at consulting firm, prior her/his exit to this company.

High TC but it’s lower base with high bonus vs lower TC with larger base and smaller bonus?

First time in negotiation but offer is for $25k more, $90k-> $115k. Guaranteed 25% bonus. They seem hard to budge but is that worth a jump? I know it’s about an extra $1300/month for base

I have been with Accenture for 4,5 years before I left this summer for a step-up opportunity in the industry. It was a hard decision as I loved my team, but got tired of delayed promotion. I joined a pharma comp. at 20%+ compensation and next career level, i.e mng. Between my offer until I joined, they assigned a new director accountable to my area, who does not want to hand over. (1,5 months now). She is impossible to work with and bullies me at work. Is it realistic to come back to Acn?

Fish, need help evaluating an offer. Role is a product associate role at a fin tech company. TC breakdown is 130k base, 10% bonus and 15k signing.

Anyone have experience working with DynPro? I'm in late stage data engineering consultant discussions. The folks I met with seem to know what they're doing and the culture doesn't seem high pressure... They aren't a body shop from what I gather. How has your experience been? What hourly rate should I be asking for? I'm relatively senior and have the exact skills that the client is looking for.

Self Worth: How do you know your worth (salary) without sounding extremely arrogant ? Either applying for a new position at a new place of work or starting a new role and negotiating wages at your current job. Where exactly do you start? Then how do you confirm if its a good wage? And if you are being paid correctly for the job? Or where do you draw the line?

How much of an increase in salary would someone need to go from a LCOL city (similar to Cleveland) to outside DC area?

How soon is too soon to bounce? Only a few months in and while I enjoy my company, the salary is low compared to other places. Internal raises are not going to happen so the only way to increase my salary would be to jump somewhere else. I don't want to burn a bridge though

Was just offered 64k no bonus at a small firm. Entry level. Title is jr associate. Thats kinda bs right? Or am i crazy??
