For those that made partner (or NEP but where it basically means you’ll be equity eventually), what was your favorite gift you received? Trying to decide what to get a close (work) friend!

Any recommendations on treadmills? I saw someone recommend the peloton but it’s so expensive .. and I’m not even sure if I can use it without the monthly fee.

Also those who are managers what do you expect one should have in order to get this opportunity.

Any idea when we get relieving letter/service certificate from TCS?

My LWD was 16th September and I received FNF 10 days before. Also got initial release letter on my LWD.

I see so many issues in this organisation.
When I joined TCS after 5 days of joining they used to mail me every week for 5 continuous weeks and asked me every time for previous organisation relieving letter.
But they themselves don’t share it and delay a lot.


Anyone please advise.

I recently sign a lease. The apartment will put my security deposit into an interest-bearing account and requires me to fill out a form W9. I will join EY this June and just wondering if this is ok in terms of the independence rule. I guess the apartment will put my deposit in some sort of funds. Anyone with EY has experience? I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. Capital gains tax rate - I know there are diff rates (0/15/20) depending on income threshold but is the threshold based solely on “earned income” (i.e., wage)? For ex. if I quit my job and hv zero earned income and sell my stocks with 5M gain in the same yr, there would not be any capital gain tax?? It doesn’t seem right but is that the rule?

Is a role as a QA at a growing tech company a dead end role?
