I started off as a recruitment coordinator/associate and I am currently a sourcer in an agency. I have 2 years of experience and my goal for the next 2 years is to work up to a recruiter position. However, on a more long term prospective, I want to move into strategic HR. I don’t see myself as a recruiter or in TA in the long run. I wanna move away from sales. Any suggestions on easy roles to transition into?

Transitioning out of a small business owner role as a manufacturers rep in the foodservice industry and looking to transition into tech sales in or around the Austin area. Family is packing up and moving from Seattle down to Texas on Saturday. 15 years of selling across multiple industries and any networking would be most appreciated.

Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

Recently got approached by a Natural Language Processing (NLP) company for a sales engineer position. What is everyone’s opinion on the viability of this area in machine learning? Any legs or strong prospects?

Anyone else really confused and worried about all the major layoffs in the tech space. I’ve seen all size firms layoff all types of work forces.

In your opinion, what does sales enablement mean, and how does it function between sales and marketing? The space is still so new that it seems you hear a different definition with each person you ask!

I have my MSHRM; which I got before I started working in HR, and a PHR but with this new HRM role I'm thinking of getting an HR Certification in Strategic Management. It is very costly. Has anyone taken any of these Certification programs? Is it worth it?

Tech-confession: Went back to being a Tech leader in Industry from a Tech consultant (SM) in a big4 earlier this year and had forgotten all about all night long deployments. This past weekend was a rude reminder. Stayed up all night to troubleshoot servers, deploy files and monitor performance with the team.

In comparison, consulting was literally so cushy.

However, as a benefit, I now get to use Visual studio more than powerpoint.
