A few days ago I was offered a role for a recruiter with a company. Benefits, PTO, pay is decent, enough to get me by. I accepted today because it was the final day to do so. I was then called by a recruiter for another company, in which they made me a better offer for a Generalist and I want to take this one. What do I do? I didn’t sign a contract, there’s no clause that states I need to take the position.
My team has made tremendous efforts during the pandemic to ensure the safety of all facilities and people in our region as we resume in-office activity. Predicated on confidentiality, my colleague went to HR with negative feedback re a specific leader’s flexibility with the *mandatory* PPE protocol. The HR Manager went directly to the leader and gave the feedback along w my colleagues name. Since that day she’s been heavily “taxed.” HR has a responsibility to protect anonymity. How to handle?
Has anyone had a request to terminate an employee after they returned from a leave of absence? What was your experience like?
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
Has anyone had to deal with employee professionalism issues due to mishaps on Zoom / remote work culture?
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?

Anybody ever look into “Monday.com” to organize the operation of a management team for a sales organization? Is it impactful?
I'm an Ops Manager and we have about 150 employees. I'm being forced to create an "Outdoor Office." Has anyone else dealt with this sort of initiative? Is it just me or is this a bad idea?
Living in SF but remote until September (earliest). Rent is too high + apartment too small to justify staying for 3+ months. Playing with the idea to leave (temp or perm). Are people doing the same?

How has COVID-19 impacted your company and your benefits? (Examples: layoffs, furloughs, terminations, no more 401K matching, no promotions, hiring freeze?) Please share :)
Am I wrong in thinking that failing to follow up with a candidate after the initial phone screen (not the interview) is not a deadly sin? We talk to 30-40 people every week, and as much as we try, some people (especially the ones who show negative attitudes) do not hear back from us.
I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
Any advice would be helpful. Recently started at a tech consultancy and am building up the HR function. Thanks!
I am in the market for new HR software. Anyone have suggestions on the best product for Payroll, Timekeeping and tracking candidates (ATS)? It is hard to find a great product that does everything.

what chair do you sit in while wfh? I didn't think it would make a huge difference, but I really miss my office chair (Aeron w lumbar support). any suggestions for decent chairs under $200?
How do you ask for a raise? And I do mean quite literally what words do you say. I have a mid year review coming up and I want to ask. Just finished my first year, started at a very low salary (65k) for defense litigation associate and no raise yet. I am in a state where wages are lower than the big cities but I still think this is too low given partners make 250k-500k/year. Thanks.
I have a recurring dream that I'm in front of the class and I can't speak. And I have no lesson plan. And I'm being observed!

Was talking to other KPMG coworkers the other day who said they'd all discuss the salaries they're looking for this promotion w their PMLs. Is that standard practice? Should I have discussed w mine?

Which consulting firm has the most generous expense policy? I know we don't get lunch, don't get cell phones, etc.
With COVID and now the riots, I’m finding it difficult to find the motivation to work with a huge client deliverable coming up. I feel bad because I feel genuinely depressed (Ive been breaking down constantly and hiding it from my wife) and helpless when there are actual people getting hurt and I’m living a fairly comfortable life joking about minor inconveniences (I dont bemoan anyone who does though) while working from home. And I basically feel like I don’t deserve to feel this way
Does anyone have details of the different consultant levels/years exp/comp for Capgemini? Yes Glassdoor has company details but the consultant levels don’t make sense on there...
