Hi there! I work for a tech start-up and I've been tasked with revisiting their compensation philosophy and propose a better structure. I think this will also require me to revisit job titles, existing talent and tenure, performance, career paths, and the organizational structure. Any useful tips as I tackle this big undertaking?

Can someone tell me if a HRBP III is more senior level than a HRBP I? I’ve never really dealt with those titles so I am a little confused!

Hi!! I’m an HR Coordinator currently (about two years of experience) but my job has so many responsibilities and tasks I’m beyond burnt out. It’s truly impossible to focus on one task because things are constantly being thrown my way. I’ve heard whisperings of a promotion or raise, but my workload is already too much, I don’t know if I’d want to accept more responsibility. Is it normal to feel like you have just as many responsibilities as your superiors who make 30k+ more than you?

Hello everyone! How do you manage holiday pay when the holiday is on a Saturday/ Sunday. For example, if I have someone working on Christmas (Sunday), they should be paid 1.5 but what if they work on Monday as well?I know this might sound silly to some people but I’m covering for payroll for the holidays and I don’t want to mess up!

Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. Also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, but would love to hear some tips or even better, maybe have a quick chat if willing?

I used to care about and chase the opportunity to produce cool/fun/funny work. But, as of the last couple years..it’s just more about stability, keeping working relationships happy, building finances, i.e. it’s just a job. Not about pushing for the most fun creative ideas—I still do that—I just don’t care enough to fight as much if they don’t get it. Definitely still feel genuinely defeated when truly awesome concepts get glossed over by a client who has no clue what they want.
