How likely would a company hire a talent manager/ recruiter from Asia and relocate to the US/ North America for work?

Hi there

I am in need of some serious advice. I have been continuously harassed, ridiculed and spoken down to by a coworker who’s now even “threatened” to get me fired etc. We do not have an HR department and the only manager I can go to is also mistreated and not taken seriously. What do I do? I’m terrified.

Hello everyone! How do you manage holiday pay when the holiday is on a Saturday/ Sunday. For example, if I have someone working on Christmas (Sunday), they should be paid 1.5 but what if they work on Monday as well?I know this might sound silly to some people but I’m covering for payroll for the holidays and I don’t want to mess up!

Coming up on one full year at an ID firm. Feeling overwhelmed with my experience so far. I’ve received minimal training/feedback unless it was on something I messed up. It feels like the expectations don’t align with my level of experience. I have a case load of 45-55 with very little oversight or involvement from partners. Turnover is extremely high, as I’m the second longest tenured associate in the office. Looking for some guidance on whether this is the norm or not. Compensation is low 80’s.

Is your base plus commission a 50/50 split? Mines is like a 40/60 split and would prefer a higher base.

Which of the two contributes more revenue YOY then the other? New Clients or Existing Customers?

I accepted a job offer in April to start a few months from now, post clerkship. All conflicts/background check went smoothly etc. Since accepting my offer, the firm has increased their 1st year pay across the board to be higher than my offer was (which was, at the time, what 2nd yeas got). When should I reach out to the recruitment attorney leading up to my start date? Or should I? (Haven't spoken since May) Should I bring up the salary or just assume its higher?

My degree is not in HR, so I was going to stay at this role for a year to start working on my SHRM. Does anybody have any tips on moving into more ER related roles from recruiting? Thank you!

I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?

Is finding a Generalist position for more than 50k but with me having less than 7 years of HR experience reasonable? Is a generalist position the best next step to get more experience? My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

What is the best advice you would give to a junior account manager?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? Started at my first real firm job after quitting a nonprofit and I’m loving the new firm! But I’m the only one with pronouns in my email signature… should I bring this up? I think everyone here is cis but it would signal inclusion when we send emails, no?
