We have a new CEO, brand new executive team and now a new CHRO. Feeling like the earth underneath me has been shaken, and not sure how to acclimate myself to the new leadership team. Any insights from previous experiences?
Are there companies out there acknowledging and/ or taking action to reflect on what is happening in our country in the aftermath of George Floyd and systemic racism?

Hi- does anyone have a good partner review process? Three owners, private firm - trying to provide meaningful review process for them separate from our usual process. TIA!
How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?
I have seven years' experience in executive search (based in APAC but have worked on global roles) and want to leave the industry for either an in-house talent role or a consulting firm. I haven't had much luck when I've applied for internal roles in the past. Do I have any chance at getting an in-house talent acquisition role, or is an executive search skill set just regarded as too weird/not the right fit for internal talent teams?
Do recommendations on LinkedIn provide any value to potential employers? Do recruiters look at them? What do recruiters look at on a LinkedIn profile?
Am I wrong in thinking that failing to follow up with a candidate after the initial phone screen (not the interview) is not a deadly sin? We talk to 30-40 people every week, and as much as we try, some people (especially the ones who show negative attitudes) do not hear back from us.
What do you do on Monday to get your week set up? I feel like I spend so much time helping my team get their pipelines in shape for the week / setting up a plan.

Hi all - my partner was laid off in April and still having a difficult time finding work in the DC area. Thanks to your advice earlier in the year, he’s back in school to finish his bachelors in IS Management + taking the NET+ cert exam soon. Will it be hard for him to find a job until he gets his degree or will the cert help with an entry level job to tie him over? For reference he’s had 1 full-time role with a tech company in acct mgt. and (2) IT support internships. Thanks in advance!
I spent the last two months avoiding my side project because I couldn’t smooth out the kinks. Picked it back up today, and knew what I had to do. Just a reminder that it’s ok step away.
Is it really a good idea to take a position or make a change when we dont know what we want? Like joining IB to lead to other opportunities later, or moving to a new place to just see what happens?
Looking to use a One-Yr MBA program to make the switch from tech consulting and into strategy consulting. It’s not MBB or bust for me, so I have some flexibility. I’m wondering if a part-time MBA might be better.
how does one get a job in LA? Been trying to move for MONTHS but every agency only offers informationals because they don’t have an open role (strategy). I’m working with recruiters now but none 1/2
We’re launching a Strategy program, making us and VCU the only two schools to offer a fully comprehensive strategic planning track — except of course ours takes half the time and costs half the price.
How did you get into leadership? I recently lost out on a promotion because, “you do your job too well. We can’t see anyone doing it as well as you.” Is this a sign I need to move on?
How common is it to be successful in life sciences/healthcare consulting if one doesn't have a bio/medical degree/background? How feasible are exits into industry down the road? Super interested in the field but don't wanna get stuck along the way (have an econ/business background) Any insights are appreciated!

COVID’s got me & my spouse like “quit corporate life & pursue your dream.” Health insurance is a big kicker though... any clue how much it costs (monthly) for 2 healthy people in their early 30s?
Obviously leaving for client side pays well, but sticking with agencies, how does one make a BUNCH of money in this industry? (Short of "get an MBA and become a CEO")
Started a new position last week - it’s been a slow start and I have no idea what I’m doing. Advice? I’m scared I won’t be able to pick up the work fast enough
I have a friend that got interviews from all the best firms (MBB, tier 2s, etc). It wasn’t until then when I realized she hid the fact that she had a green card 🤣
