SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

I am currently an HR professinal of 3 years with past background as a teacher/advisor in higher ed. I am aiming to pivot to a more L&D, training specialist type role in order to leverage the skills obtained in both areas. It would be the perfect career for me. I’ve been in my role since June of 2020 right after graduating college. I truly cannot say enough good things about my manufacturer but lately, as in the last 6ish months, I’ve truly been questioning whether there is more for me here.
As a 23 year old I know I’m more apt to hop or seek out other opportunities so I don’t want to be rash or just “toy around with leaving because I’m bored”. But at this point, I’ve reached my 2nd coaching (first was 4/2021) and it’s clear my role isn’t for me…..
What does your company’s performance management cycle look like? Do you do quarterly reviews? Decouple compensation from feedback? What does the calendar look like?

I was recently put on a 30day plan, busted my ass on it and was let go during covid. I’m beyond hurt and I feel very targeted and it never felt fair. What else could I do? I’m embarrassed and I recently came across one of the women who never liked me on social media and all the feels felt fresh again.
My leadership of a startup in California is very anti-COVID restrictions and has recently said that they want to force employees to come into the office, no exceptions, even though our County is still in the highest restriction level. None of our roles require anyone to be in the office to complete their responsibilities. They also don't want to follow guidelines (like masks), but I think they'd be willing to somewhat if they were forcing people in. Anyone have advice here and how you are supporting leadership through this? I don't know of any fines related to bucking the restrictions. I do know about the mandatory reporting implemented by Gov. Newsom, but that's extent of it. How are you handling this at your company?

I have held Sr roles with the ability to communicate out meaningful metrics but am facing a new level of HR need at my company and want to be able to identify and calculate metrics for our CEO and other Executives such as an Efficiency ROI per department based on revenue and profit margin. I looked at AIHR but I would like community feedback on any programs or certs that would help with this.
Hi all! We hired a new member to our HR team and after seeing them perform well, their job description was added to and salary and grade increased. I have been at the company for four years and thought that I to would see an ‘extra’ increase, due to my performance and having received an unbudgeted bonus in 2021 due to performance. After my annual review my new team mate earns more than I do and we have similar HR experience and our roles are the same grade. Should I ask for further increase?

Hi everyone! I posted previously about how I had a review then three days later was fired. I wasn’t planning on pursuing wrongful term because I didn’t have any documentation on our conversations. However, some people want me to at least try looking into it. I did want to point out that my boss is a senior director of ops AND also head of HR. So she is in both and it’s also the reason why people don’t trust her. Not sure if this would make a difference at all in pursuing anything.
