Required Education. Almost all jobs nowadays requires a bachelor’s degree (rarely substitute by experience). If an applicant has all the job requirements, but lacks the education, are they automatically disqualified or filtered out? How flexible is HR with education if it is a requirement?
If your CEO asked you to define and articulate what specific items HR and Talent own individually, where do you start? What other guidelines/guidance can you share? (Note that both report to the same executive, who does not have a human capital background)
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
Does anyone have any tips / tricks to share regarding outreach to passive finance and accounting candidates to get them interested in a conversation?
I just had an employee tell me they are on the verge of quitting due to burnout- actually going to quit but was told to talk to HR for options (we don't have any in place). The manager wants to keep them as they are one of our best employees. Any recommendations on how to help alleviate burnout when the cause is from customers rather than the company? Is it worth it to let the employee leave and spend months looking for a replacement causing more stress/burnout with others?
I’m looking to establish comp ranges (mostly IT and tech). What are some good options that are up to date, user friendly, and overall good resource? We are primarily remote but do have a small headquarters.
I need to learn a new way to speak about process improvement and efficiencies. I’ve learned I have a knack for this but it seems like such common sense to me that I struggle articulating this to people who just don’t get it. I have no certifications and have no interest in getting one… Also, can you actually teach process improvement to people who don’t get it or is this just a DNA thing. Help? :)
What's going on with everyone regarding the vaccine mandate? How is it effecting companies and how does HR plan to deal with this disaster?!
Stay with current company or move up-market before going AE/management? Currently top SDR/BDR at SaaS company selling to SMBs w/option to move to SDR management or AE. Also have offers to move to larger SaaS companies at the Enterprise level still as BDR

Looking for advice on the next step. So I started at my company just over 2 years ago as an entry level Sales admin with a split role and at the beginning of this year I moved fully into Sales Support and I'm kind of at a point where I coordinate and support the activity of my team, I fully process all orders and manage/maintain our CRM system, provide monthly & quarterly reports for our senior management team. Is this it? Am I at the top end of this role and need to ask for more progression?
Can HR be personally legally liable for anything in the line of work? Asking for a friend…..
Performance Metric Question - can anyone share how they measure performance in an environment where collecting payments drives the business? How do you incentivize for making payment goals to ensure the sale/money is made but at the same time not impacting customer experience or bad behaviors to make attain incentives.
I have been unhappy about my current job for a bit now, been at the company for almost 10 years, and have started looking for a new job. I have a solid job offer on the table, but a newer PE group just reached out and are looking for a high level either VP or Director of retail sales (my specialty). I am more interested in this private equity group as I would get to build a whole team and really make a retail strategy but they are newer so I am unsure the stability. Thoughts on working for a PE?
For Enterprise level orgs in software space, who are your executive search or retained agency partners you would recommend?
What job title would you use for someone who is responsible for assessing current skills gaps in the enterprise, leveraging talent marketplace and AI to identify the current skills of the workforce, and support strategic initiatives surrounding talent planning/forecasting? Something that wouldn’t include Talent Management or Workforce Planning in the title.
Any Training Managers who have made the move to consulting? What does your scope of work look like now?
Does staying at a job too long make you less marketable? A CFO who worked at a company for over a decade and was fired because of cut backs was hired for temp work. An accounting manager of 6 years was hired for tech support. How does this happen?
Anyone know why Advisory can't see the comp statements yet?...as they were supposed to be available today...
My close friend has failed the bar for a second time. This comes as a true shock for them. I know they have a very close family support system that’s local/ they are in good hands for mental health. They have not reached out, at what point do I? (It’s only been a day) / how can I support them?
@Bain folks: I got invited to a 10-min digital interview (HireVue). Any idea/tips on what to expect?
Hi Fishes I’m getting an international transfer from EY Abroad to EY US. Has anyone submitted documents on INSZoom for L1 visa? How long did Visa team take? I feel the visa process is way too long. Please share any first hand experiences. I signed my offer letter in August, submitted my docs last week on INSZoom. Anyone in the same boat?
Any tips on negotiating severance package? What’s typical package for a NY lay off? How do we maximize the money we receive? I’ve also read things on the internet that say “don’t sign it on the spot.”

What's the fixed comp generally offered by EY GDS to Assistant Managers hired from MDI Gurgaon for Valuations (VME)? Thanks.
Was communicating frequently with a McKinsey recruiter who asked me to inform them when I submitted my app for experienced hire. They acknowledged my referral and told me they would set my 1:1 coaching session. Then I got radio silence and its been 2 weeks....Should I be worried? Or is it still early
Any ideas on how well flatiron health pays? Looking at their manager in product operation and product marketing roles and wasn't sure. Not too much info online and Glassdoor might be old
Absolutely miserable on a staff aug project with a small team and not enough work to go around. End of current extension in a couple of months. How can I tactfully request a different assignment?
Ladies, I’ve noticed (pre-covid) that when men introduced each other or even when they enter the room they always shake hands with each other - even if they’ve known them/worked with them for months. But for myself, I may get a handshake on first day but never again. And I find it annoying like do you not think of me as your equal or do you think because I’m a woman I want a hug?? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I taking this the wrong way?
When you express an interest in a Credit Fund to a recruiter, will you fall under the PE or HF interview path?
How do I have the conversation with a Partner about writing a letter of rec for a PhD program? Will I put myself a risk of being laid off if I express interest in continuing my education?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
I have to present to a client via video chat today. Guess I need to actually put on makeup and get dressed ...maybe just the top half.
I recently transitioned to wfh full-time, in house. Amazing gig - I’m not complaining - but I literally never have to wear suits or anything fancy. Coworkers wear t-shirts, rarely blouses. My background is litigation, so I’m used to wearing sweaters, cardigans, suits, dresses. I don’t want to be the only one wearing business casual outfits but I can’t bring myself to wear a tank top/t-shirt and sweats/leggings every day. Advice for what to wear to wfh now that I’m just dressing for me? (Cont.)
