I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!

How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!

I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
As a company we are looking at going digital with our employee personnel and medical files etc. What are some of the ways you have done that? Any advice/recommended process?

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
I would like to help those wanting to shift careers in HR, minorities, or women going back to the workforce, learn workday coding and ultimately help them get a job in the space. Is there any interest?

My 19 month old baby is suddenly not sleeping! She used to sleep through the night, and self settle. Now she wakes up every few hours, wants a bottle, cuddles, look outside the windows, play, anything but sleep! Starts screaming if I leave the room, put her back in the cot or turn off the night lamp. Cont’d
Started at a firm in NYC about a month ago, currently working from TX. When I joined, they told me that they were looking at starting a hybrid office/WFH schedule in September, but that it was still TBD. I’ve heard the firm say the same thing a few times since I started, but still nothing concrete. HOWEVER, while I think NYC will be awesome when I eventually do go out there, I wouldn’t mind staying in TX longer. I’ve heard that some of the more senior folks at the firm plan on flying into…(cont)
How much does a staff two at Mcgladrey or GT make in FSO assurance? Also, how crazy are the hours and how much vacation?
Have an offer in hand for an AmLaw100 lockstep. Corporate / M&A mid level associate. Didn’t use a recruiter (attorney referral from inside firm). Mostly satisfied with the offer. Procedurally how should I go about negotiating things like signing bonus, full bonus vs pro rated bonus / Covid bonus eligibility? Obviously this would normally be done recruiter to recruiter. Do I contact the internal recruiter or one of the head partners I interviewed with? Email vs call?
Chicago peeps found a 1 bedroom apartment on North Michigan ( Magnificent Mile) for 1300. Is this a good deal or am I getting cheated? It’s 800-900 sqft. Is this a nice place to live?
My team knows I’m on vacation, yet they’ve called me back multiple times. This is coming from senior leadership and junior leadership. It definitely is not an urgent request, they just think everything is urgent. I am allowed to roll the vacations over but what will I do with those days. Can’t wait for vacation to be sitting at home in q1 :)))))
Deloitte USI vs Accenture for software engineer in terms of work culture, pay and do they have the best minds working there?
This may be a stupid question, but when using an offer as leverage for a pay raise at your current job do you need to have the offer in hand and have gone through all the background checks, etc.? As opposed to just a verbal offer or email? I guess the answer is yes because you should be prepared to leave if they say no.
Any insight into promotion process at Amazon Web Services ? Looking at an L4 PM role and wanted to understand trajectory + path. Thanks!
what is the difference between technology consulting and business and integration architecture at Accenture US ?
My first tenant ever moved into my first investment property. The amount of work is such a nightmare. I see why people don’t do real estate investment now.
First year in litigation here. Just had a meet & confer call today with opposing counsel (first time speaking with him) and within 5 minutes after the call, he added me on linkedin. Is this normal?
What should be the base salary for senior technical architect in nyc for csg group in Salesforce.
I have no skills (except for MS Office), all I do is to find a way to make client and my boss like me and I've been a high performer for years. I am a PMO making only 200k with 8 YOE. Is there anything I can do to enable me to make more?
If it’s cold outside and your date is wearing a jacket, and you mention you’re cold, and he or she just looks at you and says, ‘ me too, I’m glad I brought a jacket’ is that odd or am I just expecting too much?
If you leave your job and take a month (or more) off before starting the next, what do you all do about health insurance?
Anyone ever think about starting a youtube channel? Can you get fired if it's a channel that has nothing to do with financial services (no conflict of interest as I'm not representing the firm's opinion)? Honestly ok with losing my job at this point, but wouldn't want a youtube channel showing up on a background check as I apply for other roles. Thoughts?
