I always have to go back and audit my commission pay because it’s never correct. A year ago when I found out that I could actually do that, I was a little bummed I’ve been missing out on that for months . My manager said “well it’s your paycheck”. My first sales job I never had to do worry about getting paid correctly. I’d like to think that companies take responsibility for paying their employees accurately and fairly. Is this a common thing in sales or was I just spoiled that first job?

Does a senior counsel have the power to ask recruitment to hire you as an entry level associate or that simply up to partners?
Firm apparently decided to tell a class of 7-8 first years that even though they all hit hours they won’t get the promised raise or bonus this year because there will be an opportunity for an even bigger bonus next year … I don’t think the partners realize they are literally all going to leave. As a senior should I be worried out our solvency ?
Do you tell your firm where you are going when you put your two weeks in? Worried vindictive partner will try to sabotage my move to a new firm.
Best software sales executive in the world 🤣
In comms structure, what do you think of this?
Brand new client - 25% of new-client fees for 6 months. Plus a 3% trail commission after the client has been with us for 12 months
Referred client - (where you have helped in the process) - 10% of new client fees for 6 months
Upsold client - (where you have helped in the upselling) - 25% of upsold fees for 6 months
Never had a trail comms structure before…
Would you drive a car that costs $135,000? If so, would it mainly be to show your success to your clients?
Is it just me or does anyone sorry worry what's going to come up on a background investigation. Like no matter how many times I do it I'm still worried.
I haven’t raised my billing rate for 4 years and I’m dreading doing this. Can someone give me a pointer or a sample letter? I know this is supposed to be clear and concise but it’s not easy.
For people who left a job after less than a year, how many questions did you get (during interviews) about why you were leaving so soon? Did you have any trouble convincing interviewers that you weren’t a flight risk?
How does the holiday weekend impact your quota? Still the same? It's still the same for me, which I feel is unfair.
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.
Curious how firms recruit at the partner level
Anyone know total comp plans Google offers for Account Executive positions? And what kind of base salary + commission you can get?
Welp, are we in a law firm recession or not? Who is slow as snot, who is killing it this month? If ID I don't care, sorry.
I gave notice for my first associate position last week and the managing partner is making my life a living hell. Is this normal? She is making me call every client I have had an interaction with and explain that I am leaving the firm and other weird things. And advice would be appreciated. I only have a few days left but It is very hard to motivate myself at this point.
What kind of notice do we need to give to quit? I am an associate in a smallish firm, 10 admin or paralegals, 4 attorneys and the owner attorney, who doesn’t actually practice but considers himself a rainmaker. He just brings in all the business, and piles the work on us. Problem is he will take any case if he thinks they can pay, and he only cares about the new money coming in the door. We are all overworked and overwhelmed to the point that we are missing things and making mistakes.
An opinions on Axiom? I’m having trouble figuring out what they actually do. It seems to be a mix between a contract position and a 21st century law firm.

Anybody selling Dua Lipa tix?
Not news in and of itself, but curious to hear how the initiative is manifesting in the consulting firms, who I would imagine are the worst offenders.
Is your firm focusing hiring in KSA?
Are there serious aspirations to have a large portion of staff KSA based?

I’ve seen a lot of tips for getting IC roles at FAANG, but what’s the best way to get noticed for leadership (eg., people manager) roles at top tech companies? Is it better to have leadership roles at successful but maybe lesser known brands or go back to a more junior role at big tech and hope you can work your way [back] up — wondering if going back and forth impacts your “career narrative” negatively?

Anyone from Deloitte received updates on h1b 3rd lottery results ? It’s been close to 3 weeks since uscis performed lottery.
I just want advice. I work 50 hours a week and my partner is a stay at home dad. He does great. But I hate my job and hate being away from my kid so much. I’ve made 53 this year so far and we are behind on bills and can’t afford daycare. I just read something that said being a mom was more important than the job and that’s true. But what if your job is what your family is depending on?
I had a mini emotional breakdown today over my wedding coming up this summer. It's supposed to be small and simple (like 40 people, backyard BBQ kind of simple) yet I'm still getting bombarded with in laws wanting to know 1,000 details and then protesting the decisions as though they are personally hurt by them.
I wanted to elope. I know people say that jokingly but since I was 20 that was my hope, but MIL gave me the heartbroken face. It's just so overwhelming and not at all what we wanted.
I joined TCS as a lateral (yoe=16) about 2.5 months back. I have been allocated to a project code, but there is no work yet. I have been asked to submit timesheet as Non-billable.
