Today I was thinking about different sales experiences I’ve had–both as the buyer & the salesman. What was the best and/or worst sales experience you’ve ever had as a customer?

Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?

1st Job - 90k…. Is this a good salary? Late to the game at 34. Don’t even know anything about personal finance. Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? How to move things along with forgetful partners? I am a new 1st year and I am staffed with a partner who is swamped.
