Hey Sales 🐠, kindly requesting your advice. I have 4 YOE in customer success and 2 YOE as a presales solutions consultant, all in the health tech space. I’d like to grow into a sales role (e.g. Account Executive), but am not sure what a good next step should be. I don’t have any full cycle sales experience or a history of a meeting quotas, but I am comfortable in C-suite interactions. Any suggestions on what type of sales roles to consider next? Thanks!
How would you communicate the involuntary termination of a team member at a startup? Typically, I handle these communications by having the manager have an informative session immediately after the termination to the employee's direct team and the news rapidly spread. However, as this is such a small team it may cause confusion and concerns for the team that stays. I feel like there isn't an "ideal" way to communicate involuntary terminations, but happy to hear your advice
How do you communicate with employees who don't want to wear masks? Unbelievable to me people still have issues grasping this need.
Canadian professional (B. Ed, M.A, Ed D * Candidate) looking to move to USA to work in a college or university. I'd need a sponsor. Bring a wealth of experience. Does anyone have a lead? Thought? Hint??

Are there any fellow fish here who 1. Work for an org with an internal coaching program and 2. Have received helpful coaching through the program? I'm putting together a presentation and I need a few positive testimonials. Please share your experiences here! Thank you in advance.
Hey everyone - from an EEO audit perspective, I’m not sure how to classify our Solutions Consulting (pre sales), Customer Success, and Partnerships teams. All are commissioned employees so my gut says Sales Workers but they aren’t direct sales so that part thinks Professional. What are your thoughts?
Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!
I'm looking to get into management and I wanted to get an idea of what the average pay is for a software sales manager. I know it varies at level but possibly a mid market/enterprise level manager
Hi folks - we're a small company just under 100 people almost evenly split between employees and consultants across North America and APAC. We're looking to implement a new HR system that we can start to leverage for onboarding, comp & benefits, payroll (pay slips/tax), reporting capabilities etc. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! :)
I recently started at a larger software company as an AE. As I’m getting more into the process, I’m finding things odd. Like, cold calls and emails are metrics I’m judged on more than closed won business. I know that’s part of the job but it seems strange I’m judged on it so heavily. And, I seem to be the first real outside AE hire as everyone else seems to have been promoted up from SDR roles, including all of my direct management. I’m questioning if I made the right move. Stick it out or look?
I’m interested in furthering my career and I’m considering studying for the PHR or SHRM-CP exam. For those of you who are certified, do you have any advice and recommendations on which one you think might be better?
I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
The struggle is real...
What are the key components of your company’s Code of Conduct? Anything you wish was included but is not?
Anybody have experience with DoD sales? Would love to hear how you establish and grow your business.
Hi All I am a Key Account manager at a company that manufactures and sells PPE. I moved to London a year ago and have built up a great pipeline and grown the company I work for exponentially. I am looking to move into SaaS sales or into the general tech scene in London as there is more room for growth and earning. My question is , how do I go about making the move into software or tech when all jobs require experience in SaaS. Do I have to take a step back in my career back to SDR or AE?
I’m studying for the SHRM-CP with the Mometrix (study guides, online course, and flash cards), however I’m super overwhelmed with all of the information. What are some best practices to ensure I grasp all of the concept ? Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

Hello 🐠 - I’m a consultant (5 yoe in consulting) trying to exit into tech roles at midsized tech companies into consulting friendly functions (BizOps, some PMM). Have found the process to be incredibly draining and not getting any traction given my background. I’m not an expert in the industry and having a hard time positioning myself for success. Anyone open to talking about their journey (short call or email) for advice? Would love to learn what more I can do! Thanks.

Anyone witness slackers who got into companies you have no idea how? Had a coworker who does jack chit at work besides chatting on Facebook yet lands at a faang company? I guess if he brings the same work ethic he will be spit out for sure. Or maybe he just had no interest in doing project work.
Which company is a better career option IBM or LTI? Considering work culture, annual hike, perks, employee value etc. Getting an internal project in IBM..no project is decided yet for LTI. **Brand value is not of much importance. Give your valuavle feedback please.
Junior working with ex v5 senior in M&A. He consistently asks me to turn major deliverables at the worst hours, think 10 pm Friday/Sat/Sun night “tonight” or “by tomorrow morning” even when there is no closing date in sight. When I push back he says my behavior is unacceptable. The times when I have been able to actually meet his expectations and give him the deliverable for review, he will get back to me with comments at least a week later. Sick of these false deadlines. Help
I’m trying to figure out what I need to do covid wise for my upcoming Europe trip (first week of August). Will be staying in Italy and Greece and passing thru (only airport) UK and Netherlands. I’m fully vaxxed from the US, will I be ok to enter/connect through these countries? There is so much conflicting info out there my head hurts.
In the current, tight labor market, what would a "good" sign-on bonus be for a Manager in M&A services at a T2 firm? Bonus points for guidance on base and bonus for a Manager in M&A services at a T2 firm. My current thinking is $200k base and 20% bonus would be "good". Yes, I know "good" is subjective, but I'd like to hear anecdotes from people who feel positively about their recent salary negotiations.
