Has anyone lateraled during the pandemic I’m biglaw? If so how was your experience transitioning? I have an offer but I’m terrified of lateraling the current climate- I am an incoming third year associate.
Worked my tail off, went to law school, spent $300,000, forewent three years of income. And all I got was this miserable job.

Litigators: are you busy? My Am Law 100 firm has been getting me barely any work (billing 3-4 hours a day lately). First year associate, had good feedback on any work I did do. I'm wondering if this is a sign of trouble and I should be looking for any possible lateral opportunities.

Proofing Documents: who does it at your firm? Legal assistants, word processing, special proofreaders? Associates reviewing the same doc over and over?
