Has anyone here worked (or does anyone currently work) for Bernstein Litowitz (aka BLBG)? Very interested to learn what inside associates feel about the firm, its culture, work-life balance, billable hours, etc.

How much more, if at all, do Cravath / Wachtell attorneys work than S&C, Skadden, Davis Polk etc.

BigLaw M&A: what do you consider to be “big deal” vs a small and medium deal? For example, what do you consider a $150M deal?

I keep seeing posts that associates at mid-size/biglaw firms don’t get given the opportunity to go to court. Is this true across most larger firms, even if you lateral with some experience?

@fcb peeps: Who is the head creative at FCB Global? Is it Fred Levron or Susan Credle? Every piece of work that comes out of the agency, Fred immediately posts everywhere as his. But isn’t Susan Credle the worldwide chief creative officer? Who really runs the show?

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

"People just want it to work" is a thing clients have said about the product the company I work for makes. It's true. And it's all over. I usually think it's because Agile's method is what everyone thinks works but so much stuff across all tech areas seems to be released broken and then never fixed or fixed way too slowly. Anyone else feel this way? Has Agile worked for you and your clients?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? l interviewed for Deloitte (India not USI) in January, and accepted an offer letter with DOJ of 25th April, later HR asked me to join on 11th April for which I agreed. Now I haven't received the revised offer letter or any links other than BGV and Pre-Hire form from Deloitte and now the HR is not even picking my calls or responding to emails.
Any advice on what to do?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

PDM at Deloitte and recently told my current PM that I receive an offer to be on a different project and would like to rolloff my current project. They told me they have to check their WOA before they can confirm my last date. Is this a legit reason or something they made up just so I can’t leave?
