How long would it take to make partner at Deloitte if you’re high performing? Just starting out from an M7 full time MBA program as a Senior Consultant.

Consulting firms, how does your company use utilization as a performance metric? And what are your targets (e.g, Junior practitioners vs senior)

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?

My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

I am a Sales Executive with over 16 years over experience with FedEx. During the Pandemic I took a risk and moved to a different industry. Unfortunately my new company was greatly impacted by the pandemic and on Thursday I lost my job due to downsizing.
I have a great track record of success and sales awards in every position I have held. I also have an MBA.

How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). If I am looking to leave my company, considering all of these things, how do I do it in the least awkward, most professional way possible? I want to put in at least a two week notice, but will continuing my work after that be weird?

Senior Quality Engineer with 5 years experience in manufacturing in the Midwest. What should I expect/would be fair compensation? I run process improvement projects, fight manufacturing fires, qualifications etc. (honestly more of a hybrid ME than QE).

This question is quite broad and subjective but would love to hear some thoughts. For a couple with family income of about 60 LPA in India, is it wise to move to Canada/UK via the PR route? I have seen no matter how much experience you have, it's usually about building up from scratch.

Anyone have advice for talking to teachers in your school that are upset with you?

Young professional with 3 years of retail banking experience, 1 year of claims experience, and now roughly 6 months into insurance sales. Between selling in retail banking environment and every month of insurance sales regularly pacing 200% or over to goal. Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. This annual appraisal I have got a good % of appraisal increment on my salary but I was not promoted to a senior developer (although I have been mentoring a junior dev in my team and been part of building the project by implementing new technologies and tweaks) and my total YoE is 3.5+ years. What could be the reasons? What should I do now?
