12 yr. ID atty at AM200 firm. $175k. Last year I finally started sharing partner credit with a retiring partner on two major clients (which he actually promised even before). I received $500k in client responsible credit and I oversee 6 attorneys. I did not make partner this year bc my firm did not properly collect my bills. I’m on the verge but I feel like the dangling partnership carrot continues to remain an arms-lengt away. Should I switch over to plaintiff side PI for more $$?

I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard

It’s Friday night at midnight and I just got out of work. I am new to FPP defense. So far it’s soul crushing. I feel like a robot just doing the same pattern pleadings and discovery over and over. If I try to be creative or ask questions I get the response that I should not recreate the wheel… basically just cut and paste. My brain feels like it’s going to rot doing this work.
