It's me, you conscience
I have offer from Nagarro for 32 LPA(1.6 variable) and another from Turing of 34 LPA (2.5 Variable) I don't want to Join Turing, but can I negotiate with Nagarro based on Turing offer to increase my package? Or is it too risky since I don't have any other offer. What are chances if negotiation fails they(Nagarro) resind the offer?

What’s the work culture at New York life like?
Any thoughts on working at LinkedIn?
Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

If you don’t enjoy sales and BD, I think you should consider it given that it’s gonna be all about that on top of your engagements at clients. That’s the main reason I’m looking to drop consulting

Agree. I enjoy the manager role - leading teams, solving problems, owning client relationships - hate the +1’s and BD side of the job
Seems low... that’s less than M1 at Acn Strat
Mentor
No it’s not. I’m an M3, we get like 5% bonuses. All in this is more, although base is lower
Does SM have sales targets?
Mentor
Don’t believe there are formal sales targets
Coach
As an SM my guess is you could push into 3-400 range, your experience will look more impressive than your pay and you could be hired for similar roles as MBB associate partners if you’re in strategy
At ACN my friend hit $180k base as SM1– no formal sales targets but you have leadership meetings, account planning meetings etc. on top of your project.
Coach
How much less than what you’d make as an SM? I would not want to jump to an industry role that pays materially less than what I’ll be making in a very short period of time. I’d want to hold out for that pay and title bump and immediately start fishing for offers with that as leverage.
Mentor
To be honest it’s not materially less. I would say ~10% all in. Most exits I have found are either way more money and 0 WLB or 25%+ drop in comp. I find it hard to believe a promo is going to get me significantly better exits, unless I stick around in consulting for another ~2 years. Most recruiters I talk to look at my YOE over title - which is frustrating.
Are there any additional benefits ar your exit such as long term comp, additional or higher retirement contribution, etc.?
Mentor
Na current financial package is better. Looking at this from lens of, more interesting work, better WLB, ability to develop subject matter expertise. Currently a generalist consultant, feel like exits at the Sm level for someone with such a broad background will be tough
Mentor
You don't seem excited about retail corp strategy, so keep looking for better exits. If you get promoted, you'll have at least a year of runway, so you still have time to look for jobs. And the SM title will help more than hurt. An extra YOE might help too.
Mentor
I think the role is awesome. Just sense checking if waiting is worth it for a bump in comp
