Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? your competence and trsutworthyness s also kind of on the line when you give someone a reference... say A tells B that Y was an assest to the team and helped move the project forward. seems innocent, not that mugh of a stretch... but then say B takes Y on and Y "sucks at his job" (again) now B will probably not trust A's judgement.
if you honestly cant give a good reference, tell your coworker to ask someone else for a reference. or warn your coworker that you're not sure you'd be the best reference

I think you should be honest and repeat what you (better have) shared in performance feedback with them again. Tell them that you don't feel comfortable providing the reference because you'd be honest if asked for specifics. Instead, coach them up on a) what needs to change and b) how they can seek assignment without your reference.
Be homest
I agree with D2. You should also tell the person what he/she does well and areas that need improvement and how they can go about it. Be honest with both with the person who asked you for reference and the person you're referencing. If he sucks because of bad attitude then you can't do much
