What is your total YOE now? What kind of roles would you be applying for? Why do you want to shift to Google after all this other varied and probably more interesting work?
Fwiw the recruiters don’t ever share specific feedback, it’s nothing against you. It’s simply process.
Thanks for your reply

I’m looking at UX Manager & Lead roles.
Google has always been a place I’ve wanted to work.
CONTINUED…. At the time, I had 19 years design exp (UX, research, content, branding, front-end coding) mostly in start-ups and a UX Manager title.
After the disappointment, I made some changes. I realized my exp in start-ups may not be enough. I decided to go into consulting where I knew I’d have exposure to a wide variety of sectors (finance, govt, transportation, retail, insurance) Since then, I have gotten a ton of experience with larger teams, Fortune 100’s, and was just recently promoted to Sr. Mgr. I have 4 direct reports. Fast-fwd to now, another Google recruiter has reached out to me to start the interview process again. Any advice on navigating this. Is it better to come in as an individual contributor or people mgr role? Not sure how they differ. Anything you can tell me about leveling for someone with my exp? Appreciate any info here. Thx!
That's really helpful. Thanks for expanding on that!
