A have a couple YOE as a SWE at a different company. If I was applying for a PM role at Microsoft, would I have to apply for the entry position or L2? If I got L2, would it be fine that I obviously don't know the things that the others know who started as L1 and got promoted?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

I’ve been in community corrections for almost two years.
