Oh, are you kidding? It would take an act of god to get me to leave my job at this point lol. It’s not a great job but I’m grateful to have it.
It's too risky in this current market. But best believe i'm building so that I can pivot.
I would leave. The issue is most of the jobs I have interviewed for all pay less than what I’m making now. I’m also getting inundated with inquiries for contract jobs. Like a few a week or more.
Why would I leave a full time job for a contract in this type of job market? This is the worst job market I have seen in decades.
Contract roles have either been hybrid or remote.
Right now, I’m staying put because I want to. If my situation became toxic, I would definitely look to move internally. Are you still a job hugger if you’re seeking a new role internally? Because I don’t see myself leaving the company.
Loyalty is good. Appreciate your insights.
I honestly can't blame anyone for being a job hugger in this job market. I have been looking for a new role since October and haven't been able to find anything. The job market is really rough out there.
TOO RISKY TO LEAVE. Stability is key right now.
I would love to quit my job. But I can't afford to. I'm actively looking.
How is the job market?
I want to leave. Im in a growing company that is making all decisions without any thought of the emplyee base. Its not the job or company I applied for at this point. problem is more than just msrket uncertainty. I live 5 minutes away, I get half my time from home, pay is better than most options I am seeing, and the options I am seeing out there are just as bad. Im just going to keep an eye out, keep working towards something bigger and better in my downtime and hope things turn around.
I've thought about leaving. But nobody else has the pay and benefits I get now. Moving internally is a lot of work for maybe a better manager but maybe not. So I stay.
Lateral moves are becoming more common.
