Great offer for sure. Depends on what your doing too. If it’s a software dev role, pending on your abilities it wouldn’t be extremely over paid.
Confirming you should def take the offer. You obviously did really well on the interview and left a great impression. Take it as a boost to your self-confidence
Lol @ ask for more. Are people really this out of touch on market salary? 120k is well over the average for a consultant 2.5 years out of college. That's more than most SCs
yes he's going to get all the crappy projects and he will expect to ghost hours
I’m a little worried their expectations will be over the moon since they are offering so much..
most programmers are offshore, I hope that answers your question.
Would you be hand on the keyboard developing? Or more client facing and involved the discovery, requirements and design side? If it’s the latter, enjoy the easy gig and nice pay. If it’s the former, be prepared to be overworked, isolated, and assigned a list of tasks that never end
I’m SC at Deloitte going into the cloud practice at Accenture
Depends on CD&O or not, also practice. Cloud goes directly from Consultant to Manager.
I’d be cautious posting too much here about your gig. Someone can probably already tag you based on the info you posted here.
Nice SC1, let’s connect on LinkedIn
OP def take the job. At your level regardless of years of exp you should be at 120. So no out of range.
So Op has comp sci undergrad and masters...? Your peers should be making 300k+ at FAANG with 2.5 YOE. 120K for CS UG/MS is really low.
Point is , he’s underpaid given his CS degrees...
You can get paid much more in tech as others have alluded. Kinda a waste of your CS degrees imho
I suggest checking levels.fyi to get an idea of the range you can expect
120 for what level & what city? 25 years experience depending on the level and city should be way higher than that.
Never mind I read your 2.5 years of experience as 25. The offer is in line depending on level, practice and city.
I received an offer at Accenture for the consulting development program. How much should I be asking for? Is the opp worth it?
Ask for at least 20% bump from what you already make
If you aren’t coming from another consulting firm this might be a very challenging role for you.
