I started 2.5 years ago and am 100% vested according to the Hewitt site
Go home MC1. You're drunk.
Pleasseeee say May 1st. If anyone here just crossed their 2 year mark in 2017, can you please check for me? You should be able to see if it's vested in your 401k online pirtal
Two steps determine when: Match begins on the first Jun 1 or Jan 1 that occurs after your 18 month mark. Vesting begins on your 24 month anniversary. (Can't remember if it's June or July but one of those two months is the midyear date)
SA1 is correct. And it's July. Search portal for 401k match. FAQ is the first result.
I believe it's your 2 year anniversary. Definitely not fully vested as soon as the match begins, but shortly after
That's why I'm unclear. The portal mentions the July/January distinction for the begin of your match. However, just says 2 year anniversary for your vest.
Thanks SA1 that's sounds comforting. Pretty pissed ATM and can't wait to put in my two weeks. But I'm too close to throw away that money!
Sorry OP! Had fishbowl open and in my bag. Didn't even realise I had posted ☺️
Don't understand how they make this shit so complicated
2.5 def makes sense. Thanks for checking SA1. A more definitive answer would be someone who began Jan 1 - march 10 2015, and is now 100% vested. Anyone?
2 years after start of employment according to policy.
I thought it was on a fiscal calendar
I started in June 2015; when I spoke with a rep @ AON, they indicated vesting wouldn't occur until January 1, 2018
Just chatted with a different AON rep who said you are fully vested in company contributions once you hit your 2 year service anniversary.. would suggest you get it in writing just in case
