Could anyone kindly tell me about the Investment Management and Private Equity Audit Group at Deloitte? 1. Work Life Balance (Is it worst than the ordinary Big 4 WLB?) 2. Is it an entirely different audit from commercial/retail audits (think account balances etc.) 3. Difficult to learn how to audit clients in this industry without prior experience in the industry?(been doing commercial audits for 3 years) 4. Are there relatively good exit opportunities for this audit group? Deloitte PwC EY

Don't disclose. If you didn't put the employer on your resume, it won't show up on a background check.
If you get the job with Google, put in two weeks, quit, and leave your brief former employer off your resume.
You've burnt one bridge permanently, but Google will likely open up others to make up for it.

When you start a new job, you and your new employer file paper work and for tax withholding. That filing registers within a few days. Depending on timing of the background check and an extent how it is done, there is a good chance the new employer will show up if you have started the new job. It may prompt a few questions. It could be the timing; and you often cannot hide it by simply leaving it off the resume, after a few weeks on the job.

The probability of success start to finish with Google is so low that I wouldn’t even worry about this until you have an offer. Just interview - make the decision when/if the time comes. Most people interview there several times - if anything take the opportunity to learn / practice how they interview, that way when the chance comes again you’ll know what you’re getting into.
Don't disclose yet. See if you even get the offer first. If you don't get the offer, then this concern goes away.

Yep — worry about disclosing when you have the offer in hand
Google interview and matching process can also play out over a long time, depending on role and area. Often they interview you and the HC makes a call that you’re ready for an offer, but then you have to get matched to a specific team. I know people who have been in that matching phase for 6+ months.
Not saying that’s the norm or that’s your situation, but it’s worth being aware that it could take longer. Take the job and get started.

Gotcha, would be for a grad scheme with start date at end of June so guessing it’ll be a little more straightforward
I’d probably interview bc you’re not even at the background check stage yet. No idea if it would show up or not. You can always inform them later in the process abt your situation, wouldnt think they should care too much.
why not just delay the start date?

Already pushed out to the current date
You can keep interviewing at google but the process will take min 3 months likely start to finish
