Why are you taking a role as a Sr analyst when your title says consultant ? Like wtf
^ every firm is like that
Not the case, can anyone share on what to expect?
I'd expect questions
Op Im an exp hire myself and did the final rounds two years ago. I was interviewed as an SA and joined as a C. I was interviewed by two SMs. One have me small cases highly related to my practice - not standard cases and no framework to apply. It's a test to your general industry knowledge. The other one is to go through resume line by line. But talking about everything as a project: the end to end process , where you see a problem, how you solved it. As an exp hire in a specialized area, technical questions were asked here and there all the time.
I thought all experience hired automatically start as a consultant
They said they will decide title after interview whether I should come in as SA or consultant. Still looking for insight on question
Experineced interviews are highly dependent on the practice. Some do it gap-fit style, some case study, and some do walk me thru your resume.
I don't think SA really have an area of expertise yet
whereas a consultant may start to
How well you demonstrate knowledge during the interview along with experience will determine your placement. Ive seen my manager hire people and promote or demote or keep them the same based on their ability to perform at that level and factors like current experience and salary
Thank you guys for your input !
