No MBA > FT Ross > PT McCombs

…it probably wouldn’t. Cornell has a lot of strengths and a T15 mba program, but if we’re focusing on healthcare MBA, I would sooner recommend Duke Fuqua comparable to Ross.
I also think that if someone is making a minor move from healthcare consulting to healthcare and doesn’t love the opportunity costs of not working during a 2-year program, then they might also be a great candidate for the CBS j-term class.
Cornell’s one-year tech mba is a little different. There was a post in this bowl about one-year tech MBAs but I think that type of candidate is different. Idk how differentiated it is from a one-year or recognizable outside Northeast.
PT McCombs
Why are you even getting an MBA? You could exit to those roles now.
McK is right, people do MBAs to be where you are. Unless its Harvard/Stanford type MBA, probably won’t benefit you that much.
Yale Healthcare. Part Time McCombs is a joke… FT Ross will open much more doors.
People saying FT aren’t remotely considering the whole 2 years not working and 2 years of tuition thing at OPs current point in their career
OP sounds like they do have a strong resume though
Full time ross. Don’t view immediate salary as a judging point because average mba grads aren’t making 200 out the gate. Instead view the MBA as a two year refresh to explore other areas or niche fields and grow an expansive full time network that you can tap into in the future. What’s the worth of that? For many that’s why people go
FWIW, I did FT MBA and worked 40hrs weekly at a startup making close to my consulting salary.
Could have easily done full time work, since it’s easy to stack your MBA schedule. Some trade offs, yes, but think you have other options that make post MBA candidacy even more attractive and you can always fall back on your current consulting gig.
