So you don't like the job but are staying because you like the people? This is a job and the friends you've made that are really friends will be there. If the new job offers you a chance to work on things you actually enjoy go for it.
Separately if you don't like your current project. Voice your concerns and see if they will switch you. The market is red hot, plenty of projects out there.
I was in your exact situation a year ago. Based on my own experience - I don’t think it’s worth it unless you know the people you’ll be working at the smaller firm really well. A smaller firm, though higher comp, comes with it own problems - more mediocre clients owing to their lack of presence in the industry, harder to sell work as well as inferior benefits. Also, many try competing to be the big fish in a small pond. however, if it checks all the boxes and you think it’s a great opportunity, go for it.
25% doesn’t sound like a big enough bump to make the move unless there are very specific reasons for moving to a smaller firm. Make sure you’ve really gauged your market worth prior to making the jump.
You may as well go to another B4 - they’re poaching with insane % increases rn
