After 25 years with a company I was laid off in May-2022. I held a job title that was somewhat generic but a Business Title that was very specific as the Global Head of XXX. After I left a peer was asked to step in my place (newish employee, friends with new management) Today noticed on LinkedIn, he has listed my specific role as Global Head of XXX, starting Sept 2021. I realize I can’t police people’s LI but I am furious because this calls into doubt my own work record. Just venting.

Am I more or less likely to be laid off if the economy tanks even more if I just started as an analyst two months ago

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.

My monthly salary is around $6.4k after-tax. Living in NYC. Do you think it’s reasonable that I pay:

- about $900 on student loan
