I took a legal adjacent job after a little less than a year at my firm, and I regret it. My firm has been trying to get me to come back, which is an option, but I also have a start up in-house position offer. I’m so conflicted. It would probably look better if I went back to my firm because I haven’t been at this place that long either, but the in-house offer feels like a great opportunity. Help please.

Hi guys I need some advice please. I am still quite young and new to the workforce so I want to make sure I’m being realistic, but also not being taken advantage of. I got offered a position at a an international consulting firm and my role would be conducting research about manufacturers, negotiating contracts with them and also and speaking with clients. The role is nearly 100 percent remote. Is asking for 2,500 per month appropriate? Or am I selling myself short or asking for too much?

The job location is in Japan, Tokyo. Since the borders are closed for Indians, my work location is remote in India for now. Salary is paid as per Indian market.
When the borders are open, I need to relocate to Japan. I haven't been told about the salary that I would get when I relocate. HR here says once borders open and the Japan company's HR will discuss on the salary range suitable for the Japan market.
