I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? Fintech, 3.5 yrs experience for a biz ops role... that’s within the range. But for NYC, that is on the low end. Honesty, at this point in your career, pick the company/role that excites you. In 5 years, you’ll look back and slap your younger self for making a decision over $20k.
How much is “very little equity” and what was their last valuation?
Industry, 130 seems fair. But depends on where you live, which industry and YOE

If you have less than 2 years of exp, that seems pretty reasonable.

Nyc, fintech
So I have 2 years of BA experience and 1.5 years on a strategy team with a tech company, total 3.5 years of exp. I have a grad degree too
You have decent experience but have you demonstrated clear career progression?
I would have expected you to get to some associate level equivalent in your time at mck based on experience and education so because I didn't see that in what you communicated I would consider giving you more of a "prove it" offer than a next level offer.
