I work in US Tax and had an experience of 3 year. Had got an offer of 14Lpa in another big4,but still don't feel like continuing in US Tax. As taxation is something I do feel like I don't want to make a career anymore, because of work life balance & also as it specialised. Please suggest other option worthy to make a career shift. You guidance will be extremely helpful. My highest qualification is M.com.

As an almost staff 2, you have nowhere near the experience or capabilities to perform the role of a senior accountant in industry. You’re setting yourself up to fail, sorry.
Do you get narrowed in if you stay longer though? I want to work more in operations or finance. Not interested in IA or Financial reporting, technical accounting, etc roles.
Don’t promotions go into effect within the next month or 2 to for all big 4? You might as well push the next few months out and get the real senior title before leaving so you can actually say you left as a senior long term lol
Exactly, I'm technically still a staff 1. Will only be a staff 2 when promotions happen
Definitely consider it, but think about where you want to be in 2-3 years. If you stay in PA, in 3 years you will be pushing manager or able to leave for a manager position potentially. If you take senior job now, in 3 years you could be in that same senior role. Many variables, but just food for thought.
I considered leaving around this time for a similar role (didn’t get the offer so didn’t have to actually decide). Pay was a huge bump, would have probably been getting paid more than I am today but role would suck, glad I stayed in PA for the work. Will be in a much better spot in just a year or 2.
The fact that you call yourself an almost staff 2 tells me that you have no idea of your (lack of) self worth. LOL
You are leaving after one year? Good luck to you.
There is no almost staff 2. You are or you are not a staff 2. I would not leave until you make Senior and preferably after Manager. All depends on your long term goals.
