Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

It did not look bad really. I guess my question are you testing SOX control compliance in your new role? I am curious how you had the qualifications as tax manager?
Author, i would say go for it since you have extensive tax background worse comes to worse and you end up leaving, You can always come back to Tax. I think with Audit experience you can pivot into a lot of different roles if you ever got bored or wanna try something different.
ETA: need more info, but it sounds like the internal audit and SOX are outsourced to third party. So maybe just managing them and reporting to audit committee.
Go if you want fully remote, the pay increase differential would likely close quickly if you do not leave.
Not up for SM for 2 years due to COVID, so pay is a factor for me.
I say go for it, get to know the methodology and get your CIA (after is ok) and you'll be good
