Any advice for switching industries from CPG to tech as a Brand Manager and former PMM? I have an MBA, 5+ yrs of experience in brand marketing, product marketing/GTM. I’ve been searching for PMM roles in the tech industry but several require a tech background.
I’ve considered getting a formal Product Marketing certificate or taking technical courses, SQL, Python, etc. Do courses help for non-tech PMM roles?

Hello, in my previous organisation I worked in development domain (Oracle IAM Tool and Java)and my post was software Engineer, i joined Wipro as project Engineer in April 2022 and was assigned non technical project as an analyst.

I fought my way hard to get released from the project. However my designation is changed as Analyst. Should I ask for change in designation as I know that analyst is non-technical profile? Would my designation impact my future role as well?

Is it crazy to leave my job at EY to take a lower paying position in industry? I'm a recently promoted tax manager making about 140k. I've been considering going to industry for a while, gotten a couple offers, but they're all pretty low (<$120k). Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

We are thinking about getting Marketing Salesforce Cloud. I’m struggling to put a plan together that shows some thought leadership. I keep getting wrapped up in the tactics. Help!
