I have the platinum and it’s $0 because I’m military. If you’re traveling multiple times per month yes. If you only travel a few times per year I don’t know that the $700 is worth it
AMEX has many offerings. Whether a card is worth it just depends on which card it is and what you’re using it for.
For example, if your biggest monthly spend is on food/groceries it makes a ton of sense to get the Gold card. But if your biggest spend is travel, it makes more sense to get the Platinum.
As a company I think they’re great but the rest just depends which card you’re even talking about.
Blue cash preferred is what i use. 6% groceries is a beast
I dm'd you!
I recently found out my Amex platinum allows one free Amex gold card auth user for free - another benefit to the plat as it allowed me to cancel my blue cash preferred (and its annual fee) which I primarily used for grocery benefit
Depending on how much money you have in brokerage, you’ll get a discount or free. I suggest checking that out.
it depends on your category spending
Definitely worth it!! But just depends on what you need.
There’s definitely better cards out there that offer more ROI like Chase CSR. I’m canceling my AmEx next month.
