First day back in industry! Wish me luck! ❤️
dang i must be a quiet one lmao

Thinking about accepting a software engineering offer for BCG Digital Ventures . can anyone working there tell me about the work culture, learning opportunities, and exit opps . Im also interviewing with Zillow and am deciding wether to wait or take an offer. I’m really intrigued by the idea of building ventures and learning alot on the technical and entrepreneurial sides, but the opportunity to work for a tech unicorn is also very intriguing

I leave at 5am for my 6:30 flight and have no issues, but Thursday night I take the blue line to Logan Square and then uber home
Blue line has always worked well for me, esp on Thursday nights where the cab line is like 3 miles long
Depends when you're leaving. You can always get dropped at the Addison blue line and skip the traffic with the train.
I take the uber every Thursday. It ends up being the same thing. I tried the blue line once when I balked at the sight of the taxi line. I'd rather stay warm and cozy in the back seat then go through the trouble of getting on blue line.
Moved to wicker park - 28 min on the blue each way
Leaving at 7:00 for an 8:45 flight. This week my uber driver took me through downtown to get there and it took over an hour.
I do a similar routing and get off at Division (where there is a cab stand) and it's about 50 minutes from Ventra Card swipe to walking in my front door.
I take an Uber and head out at 530 for my 715 flight. Less of a hassle especially with a bag
@OP they took you through downtown? That is the exact opposite direction of where you're supposed to be going from Lakeview/Lincoln Park.
@BCG how long does it take you to get home usually?
Just under an hour usually. Usually about ~50-55 mins.
Hm so shaves a little time. I may try it.
Yes I know! When I questioned him he said "This way will be quicker because there aren't as many stoplights." And I almost missed my flight...
If you're in lakeview, take uber select and it's only $50 bucks. Around the same price as a cab and you don't have to deal with the cab. Also some uberX's are bad drivers or just have bad cars that I don't want to deal with on Monday mornings while I try to nap.
This thread is the most helpful thing I've seen on the app, thanks OP for asking
