Any firms besides PwC have a student loans pay down program? And is it only available to staff/seniors and not managers if I get my second masters to enhance my career? Thanks!

Sounds like you’re looking for EY’s Advanced Degree program. You can apply to have EY pay for your masters if it’s relevant to your service line.

You’d also need to stay at EY for 3 years after the completion of the degree to be 100% reimbursed.

like

Not at EY anymore, and even if I was there it wouldn’t be relevant to my service line.

PwC still claims they are the only ones that do this student loan pay down, I’m sure the others will join soon. But yes it’s $100/month until you make manager.

like

That’s correct. It’s only available for associates and seniors, so if you come in as a manager, you won’t get it.

Hi all, I’d love to hear from PR/Comms folks about the process of transitioning from agency to an in-house role. What kind of chance does a PR pro with ~7 years of solid experience across CPG and hospitality brands, including a mix of global agency work and smaller boutique firms, have at going in house? Do you typically need more experience before going in house? Would be great to hear about various experiences from those that have made the transition. Thanks!

Any thoughts around how to use M&A tax skills for the better good? I’m a CPA and originally got into this for a stable / interesting job, but in the long-term I’d like to do something that either influences drafting of tax legislation or helps the public (however naive that may sound). Perhaps I’ve gotten too introspective during the pandemic. Don’t really want to go back for a JD and aside from keeping a roof over my head I’m not very motivated by money. Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

It's super frustrating to be "time poor".

That's seemingly just the nature of working in Biglaw.

But every day you have the option to buy back your time.

How do you buy back time?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.
