Any firms offering sabbaticals? If so, do people actually take them and what’s the length/ pay like?

Hey all, transitioned from the military last spring and got a UX product manager position at a bank.

Pay is good, but missing the mission aspect of work. Have interview offers from Microsoft and Amazon for cleared PM work, but most of them are less product manager work and more adjacent program work.

This might just be grass is greener thinking, but would love to hear if you have made the transition if you enjoy cleared PM work or do you wish you stayed in the non-cleared space?

How realistic is it to land an AD position as a fresh grad (with a doctorates) and a handful of pharma & FDA interships? Context: I'll have over a year of (consistent) work experience at a large pharma company and I have prior leadership/mgt experience (< 10 yrs) in a gov't role prior to changing careers and pursuing a doctorates.

Also, whats the pay difference between Sr Manager and AD at a large pharma company? TIA!

I’ve taken FAR a few times at this point. I got two 74s and this past one I got a 70. I felt like the last exam (which was a few weeks ago) was extremely harder than the other ones. Has anyone else noticed the exam getting extremely tough? Or do you think I just got a one off?

YoE 12.5, cctc 10.5 and holding offers till 23.5 fixed and few more in pipeline, expecting till 27 with 40 days left in np. How much can I ask for a senior manager level in PWC AC Bangalore and how difficult is the work and transition from pure technical to managerial role? Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

As things start to open up fully, some of my institutional clients are sending notices that we are expected to do X activity over zoom from here on out (things we used to do in person). I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?
