Hello fishes,
I have a background in finance and 6+ YOE of professional work experience, I had to leave CA in between due to family emergency and started working (although only 1 group of CA final is left, 1 is cleared already), so can anyone provide an insight if being CA qualified is a mandatory requirement in EY and EY GDS in position of Manager in Accounting, auditing,FAAS,AWM teams etc
Would appreciate any insight, as seems HR everywhere just see degree and not the relevant work ex..

Always
I do- it gives me more confidence.
Just Donald Duck it and only dress up from the waist up
I have been interviewing manager level candidates. Most guys wear polos or dress shirts. One dude was wearing a suit and tie. The partners all want to hire the suit and tie guy.
I agree. It’s the easiest and quickest way to show you care and are trying.
Yes. Button down shirt and suit jacket, sweat pants.
I don't get why some people would think a virtual interview means they can ignore the standard dress code. I even put on pants, heaven forbid I have to stand up for any reason.
Dress as if you were interviewing in person pre covid. Trust me it makes an impression.
I did tie with button down and boxers 😂
Business professional is the standard for interviewing unless explicitly told otherwise lol. Video doesn’t change that. Even before the pandemic when I had video interviews (mainly HireVues) a suit was expected
Given how we’ve been working the past 9 months, the idea of overdressing for video call/interview seems silly. I get it shows effort if you want to check that box I suppose, but the idea is kind of archaic and has little to impact on job performance.
Don’t even think about not getting dressed for an interview if you want the job. It’s a 50/50 shot that the interviewer will care/ won’t care.
Do you really think the right answer is a t-shirt and a backwards-facing baseball cap?
Chief
I did suit coat button up and no tie, but I never wore ties before anyways.
Partners who interviewed me were in hoodies lol
