SO started scrolling through 3 months of texts with my best friend for a solid 10 minutes. I have nothing to hide, but I suggested that it felt weird - that it was a chat between him and I. She’s now upset and actually thinks I’m hiding something. Am I insane for thinking it just felt weird for that to happen?

Has anyone found roles in Big 4 or industry that allowed more work life balance when their kids were young without damaging future career trajectory? My wife and I just had our second child, and we have also been dealing with her cervical cancer diagnosis. It has been a stressful year, to say the least. One of my friends has been given a choice, to work with an extremely outrageous target or to leave the firm. If he chooses to stay, he will be bound to serve a total time of 6 months. And if he refuses, tomorrow will be his last day, what can I suggest to him?
