Dr Payne or anyone at Swiss OB. Deliver at Baylor Dallas which is hands down the best, especially for allowing natural labor/avoiding unnecessary c-sections.
Second Dr. Payne!
Dr Shelley Ramos. Hands down the best.
Congrats! I’d recommend avoiding UTSW. I went there for my first pregnancy (assuming they were the best) and didn’t have the best experience. The most negative piece for me was that my doctor or midwife did not deliver my baby. One of the questions I asked my OB during my first appointment was “who will deliver my baby”…and she assured me she would be there, or the midwife that works with her. She did not even show up during my time in the hospital. Apparently this is normal for UTSW, for delivery whatever doctor is on rotation will deliver your baby.
This is not the doctor’s fault. This is how the OB practice operates their schedules due to on-call & emergency coverages needed. AND this is pretty common across the nation and in academic medical centers.
The on call OB will deliver and your OB will round the next day.
That said, your OB should’ve explained it to you better. I delivered 2 babies at Penn in Philly and they had the same operating model. The only other thing that they did was because I was high risk, I only saw MDs (no midwives) and every visit of mine was with a different OB MD- that way they all saw me at least once before I delivered and were familiar with my history.
I delivered my final baby at Baylor, Scott & White. This time it was a scheduled C-section, and I was seeing an OB in an outside practice that had privileges at BSW- she actually did my CS & rounded every day post partum.
depends what hospital you want to deliver at
Avoid Beltran france. Mini Sreedevi is the best.
We liked all the ones at BSW throughout the lead up and through delivery.
