Hey HR friends, I am up for promotion and I want to make sure I am doing my homework before I go into my conversation with my manager. For those of you in the SF Bay Area in tech, what are you seeing as a midpoint salary for L4 People Operations Manager / HR Manager roles?
I received an email today from recruiter asking for a phone interview which I’m so happy to hear from but I applied about a month ago. I moved on and applied internally for a different role as a transfer. This new role is a promotion and my start date is next week. I immediately responded back to the recruiter and agreed to the phone interview for tomorrow 5/4…. Do I mention any of the above to them? Do I tell them I just accepted a new role and different position? Please advise
I live in FL and I want to start a residential assisted living from home ALF or a small commercial ALF. Any advice on the best way to start a assisted living and how to raise money?
Hello Fishes, I have joined Deloitte as a Advisory Analyst in Accounting and Internal Controls on July, 2021. When can I expect the promotion to Associate Solution advisor and how much can I expect the hike?
Help. I’m an underpaid midlevel who keeps coming up with excuses as to why I shouldn’t ask for a raise. How do I even ask for one?
I've been wondering for a long time how do Stay-At-Home moms motivate their daughters to excel in school (academically, socially, etc.)? How do they promote benefits of academic achievement and career success when all their daughters see them do is cook, clean, and chauffer them places?
Where are all the after parties happening on Promotion day? #Congratulations #Celebrations
For how long should I be at entry level salary? I've been at the company for 3 years with no promotion.
I’m late twenties and got promoted to SA during the pandemic with a minimal raise, should I look elsewhere or ride it out considering the outlier of this year?
As hikes are done now and I seriously think that new promotion are still not in the pay band, so just asking the several pay band here and please mention your service lines as well. Staff Associate Consultant Senior Associate Senior Consultant Assistant Manager Manager Assistant Director
Have you worked on a weekend? This is my first time experiencing this and I really want to raise this with my CD cause it’s concerning. Accounts are pushing me to send the layouts on a Sunday.
Am I going to regret not having kids if I don’t do it? I’m in my early 30s and have no desire to at the moment. My partner is also on the fence. I think if he REALLY wanted them I could get on board, but he doesn’t. Im becoming the minority with my friend group (if I even have one right now because everyone is so kid centric). The pandemic really pushed me toward the no kids side because it just seemed so insanely difficult on parents. Never mind the financial insecurities and the devolving
I recently got a promotion in my company to work as a Junior CSR in Commercial Lines but I also got a job offer elsewhere to work in the entertainment insurance industry as an Associate. I got the RIBO license in January. The job offer pays more than my promotion but once I told my manager I had this offer she said they are willing to match that offer, however I wouldn’t see an increase in salary for a while. I don’t know what to do because both jobs sound really interesting. Any advice?
I pay $745 in student loan payments per month and people wonder why millennials clamor for promotions. It ain't the recognition we need; it's the raise!!
@All, hello, Salesforce made me a verbal offer today. It turns out it is 30k below my current position (just got a promotion at IBM). Will they match? FYI, mus skills are unique- trilingual (and position has been open since feb 2021)
PwC just announced a 5% firm-wide base comp increase effective Jan 15. Just had another announcement that the Deals practice will be giving an additional 10%+ increase effective Jan 16 ON TOP of the initial 5% as a market adjustment. Wow.

I went to school in a different country (Jamaica) I have a BSc. in Finance & Management (double major) from an accredited university, now I live in the US and currently work as an Accounting Bookkeeper for a mid size company, I am very good at my job, came in and implemented alot of systems to make everything run efficient and boost productivity. While I feel appreciated by my team, I don't feel I am being paid my worth. How do I start the conversation of asking for a raise?
I joined EY GDS on august 2nd 2021 as advanced analyst for US taxation. I don’t have enough hours but I have over all 3 years of experience (2.7 Deloitte and Ey - August 2021 till now) in US tax and very good feedback untill now. Is there a possibility to get senior promotion this year? If over all hours is the only main criteria then I would not get this year?

What is a highish paying, respectable, growth growing career that doesn’t have much interaction with people/upper management? I hate being micro managed by colleagues. Pharm, accounting, pathologist?

Applies to private US MBA programs too… Kellogg especially. Know way too many with mediocre prospects and debt up to their eyeballs
Consulting firms should just kick everyone out without an MBA -- be more like MBB. Also, shitty, peasant MBAs are out too.
