Got a notification from Honeywell that my application is “under consideration”. Does this mean that it is actually under consideration, as in it didn’t get kicked out by ATS? Or is it just an acknowledgment that it was successfully submitted? It took about 3 business days to get the notification.

APICS certification will help in the long run.
Having done few Apics cert myself, I’d say apics is better, easier and cheaper to do. If you’re still not satisfied then go for Mit.
A friend of mine did it and it helped him get into the full time program (he didn’t believe he would’ve gotten in without the network / connections)
I've done both. CSCP is great for an end to end understanding of the supply chain while MITx has a comprehensive yet academic approach to SC, assuming no experience. I would recommend SC0 and SC1 modules to ensure a good quantitative foundation to preceed any ASCM certification. You could also consider CPIM if you want to focus on operations side.
