Hi guys ,
I am in a US project in Accenture.We have long calls in the night timings. My other teammate has backed out saying she won't attend any calls as she got some medical condition so she won't attend long calls which extend till 9:30.Other teammate is a junior.The managers are expecting me to join all the calls.No help I am getting. And they all being Tamil, I think some partiality is going on between them.Even our onsite lead is of no use.She expects me to attend long calls.
What should I do .pls suggest?

There’re a lot of issues in your question, which itself brings up many questions? Do others share your views? Does your boss share your views? Are tiles and responsibilities clearly defined? Strategy is one of the most often misunderstood roles. There’s often confusion between Strategy and Planning. Often confusion about the upstream portions of typical Creative activities/deliverables? It’s possible that you al are victims of a lack of clarity that probably appears amongst other teams. If so, you should consider escalating a request for clarity in roles - e.g RACI. If other teams don’t have these issues, maybe you all can model your structure after them. On the other hand, maybe they’re lazy & incompetent as you say and back-biting - If so, could be cultural or structural issue at your company. If so, good suggestions from others let them carry the ball they are not qualified to carry and take the hit or finds place where what you describe is not the norm - good Strategy people are always in demand.
Yes others share the same views for the same people. It’s between Media and Strategy, but Account is also having issues with Media. Media said I was going beyond what my duties should be, even though the people I mentioned have been consistently pushing part of their job on me and Account. And now they’re whining that I’m crossing the line. I haven’t been here long but if this bs keeps up I don’t think this will work out unless major changes are made. Place reeks of complacency, laziness and taking the easiest route rather than trying to push for the best work.
the nerve to say that you’re encroaching on their job responsibilities and escalate it to your boss, even though you feel like you’re so sick and tired of their bs and have remained nice about it?
