There are no directs on delta or sky team direct from US to HK. Cheapest is China eastern through Shanghai, with a decent biz class for ~$2k, and 150% MQMs earned. Wouldn’t recommend coach with them tho. If so go with Korean air through Seoul
If you purchase tickets on a major airline and the flight is actually operated by air china or china eastern make sure you call them directly to confirm ticketing. I have had several issues with china eastern not having record of tickets purchased through delta .
I'm not sure what your question is here. But I'll go with, buying it or use points?
Either or. Cheapest way with $$ or points possible. Non stop
Also business class if possible. Buy ticket and upgrade w points?
