Not hard it’s designed for non lawyers so it’s very surface. Read the book and follow the blueprint on IAPP’s website.

Gotcha thank you!

Buy the official book from IAPP - I read the book carefully about 3 times, made an outline (based on the latest exam blueprint). I spent about 2 months going through the book casually and then spent about a month going through and studying more seriously (I'm bad at memorizing and don't really have a Privacy background). I was able to pass the first time.

Same here.

Which organizations do you go through to get CIPP / US certification?

It’s not a legal cert but many lawyers in the industry have it

Would you leave a job at a startup who is still running on investment funds after almost 5-6 years of founding even though work environment is great?

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

Say the focus is AWS and the individual has a Bachelor's in Computer Science. Which do you recommend that they go into now?

Q’s for hiring partners and recruiters - you know that most associates quit their managing attorneys and not the firm/case. I’m in that boat. What do I say to a prospective employer about the situation of why I want to jump ship?
