What do you think the max salary is for an FD role?

Posting for a friend who is an AVP at a large asset manager in NYC:

A smaller hedge fund is very interested in my friend for their Asst Controller position where the work would be more interesting for them but the organization structure is flat and brand recognition is lower.

How much of a salary increase should they be looking for to jump. Another point is that they've been at their current position for almost 1 year.

Hey all! I went through the interviewing process with a company and we had a verbal agreement on X amount of salary per year. They liked me and extended an offer but the offer was for $15K less than what we agreed bc that’s what HR approved for. I was desperate so I took it. Accepting this offer meant that I had to relocate to the other side of the country. Omw that was 2500 miles, I received a call that they rescinded the offer. Is there anything legal that I can do to sue them?

I currently work as a contracted Operations Manager but I’m in need of something a little more sufficient as far as salary. I have experience in Management both restaurant, healthcare, and I suppose this particular position counts too I just don’t know how to specify it. I really want to get out of the 35-40k salary range and I have the experience to do it just not the degree. I think I suck at interviews too (I get really nervous and start doubting myself). Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

After you moved in-house, how did you get more comfortable reviewing contracts or counseling on issues you weren’t super familiar with? I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm. I’ve been trying to find CLEs to get up to speed, but I’m wondering if this is generally something that gets more comfortable with time…

Guys, I interviewed at amex gurgaon 10days ago and was told by VP that I will hear from HR very soon. But when I checked on HR yesterday, she said interviews are still in progress and it will take a week more to finalize.
I want to know do they take this long to close a position? This opening was posted on 30th Sep.. It's already been 1.5 months. This is when they said the position was urgent!! 🙄

Hi all, I got selected with CGI and got confirmation email of final selection on 2 Feb and been requested to send few documents. I did the same day and been waiting for offer letter since then. Everytime I reach out to hiring manager( on weekly basis), they tell it's waiting for clients approval. How long does the offer letter issue usually takes?
