Hey there!
I am a Masters Student majoring in Machine Learning. I am in my first semester and I am kind leaning to explore Data Science as well. Could any Professional Data Scientists help me out on getting started? What skills do I focus on? What kind of projects should I have on my portfolio?
I have tried looking this info out in the internet but its all overwhelming. Hoping to get some honest guidance here!

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

That’s a valid thought. Just know you may be further ahead in the pipeline, and coming from Uber, that’s a great name for your resume!
I'm in the exactly situation right now. It all boils down to your competitors performance and company culture.

I would feel nervous as well. However, you are further into the process and there are costs associated the longer it takes to fill a roll. More importantly, believe in the talents and experience that you bring. Even now, remember that and go in with confidence. The company is continuing to interview you which is a good sign. Focus more on the good.
I’d say, you’re not wrong. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, but I’d definitely up my game when interviewing
Valid feeling but not something you can really control. I’m open to opportunities but not actively looking and I’ve had a couple companies that were actively recruiting me reach out and tell me the req was closed. I can see where that would be very frustrating if I was looking for a new gig
